Welcome to Reception class!

I am Mrs Shaw the class teacher in Reception and the deputy head. Mrs Ash works in Reception class everyday to support the children. Mrs Galea is in class on a Monday afternoon and all day on a Wednesday.

In Reception class we are always busy! We love to have fun and to be deeply involved in learning through play, both indoors and outdoors. Children are able to access the outdoor area at any point of the day and are encouraged to select their own resources to support their play. Children are also encouraged to be independent in all aspects of the day. We enjoy our special trips to the forest area on a Friday afternoon whatever the weather! We are also really lucky to have a year 6 buddy who looks after us around school.
