A very warm welcome to Read St. John’s CE Primary School.
'Sowing the Seeds of tomorrow; growing in the light of the Lord'
I hope that you will find this website interesting and informative and that it will give you some insight into life at our school. We are a caring and friendly village school nestling in the Ribble Valley, next to open countryside. We welcome children from a wide area so please come and pay us a visit.
We want our children to be happy at school and for learning to be fun and challenging. We set high expectations and want to give our children every opportunity to become confident and independent learners. We work closely with parents to ensure that this happens and recognise the importance of good communication between home and school. As Headteacher, I am proud to lead a team that believe in providing our pupils with exciting, creative and meaningful learning experiences, which builds their enthusiasm for learning and helps them to grow and develop positively in a variety of ways.
We are fortunate to have a very active group of parents known as the ‘Friends of Read School’ who organise fundraising events throughout the school year. They are always excited to have new members in the team. We very much encourage you to come and visit, and to meet our wonderful staff and children. If you would like any further information, please do not hesitate to ask Mrs Wade, who will gladly assist you. We look forward to welcoming you into our lovely school.
